Student Project
A hands-on workshop model where students build a radio-controlled plane from its components and see it flight-tested under supervision.
This workshop model teaches students the fundamentals of aircraft design and assembly by having them build a radio-controlled plane themselves — from airframe assembly to electronics — followed by a supervised flight demonstration.
The Challenge
Students interested in aviation and flight often have no practical way to engage with how an aircraft is actually built and made to fly.
The Build
The workshop walks students through aircraft fundamentals, RC components, airframe assembly and the electronics involved — transmitters/receivers, motors and ESCs — with awareness of LiPo battery handling, building toward a supervised flight test of the assembled plane.
Tech Stack
The Journey
Introduced aircraft fundamentals and RC components.
Guided students through airframe assembly and electronics wiring.
Concluded with a supervised practical flight test of the assembled plane.
The Outcome
Students who take part gain hands-on experience assembling an RC aircraft and understanding the electronics and safety practices behind it, culminating in seeing their build flight-tested.
